Team Building

 

Team building is an important factor in any sport or any business for that matter. If you are a basketball player then you have to play as a team if you want to defeat your opponent. The point guard should be able to pass the ball to the other players on the court efficiently. The shooting guard must be able to slash through defenders and score at will. The small forward must be able to do all around plays on the court. He or she must be able to rebound and score at the same time. He or she has to be fast and he or she must be able to leave defenders behind if ever he or she decides to drive to the basket.

 

The power forward must be able to rebound and score down low at the post. The center must be able to block shots and rebound at will. If the five players on the basketball court have teamwork then they have a high chance of winning the basketball game. If you are a businessman then you should be able to sync all the business functions together so that the business will perform successfully. There must be teamwork in all departments if a business wants to succeed. The finance person must be able to source funds immediately if there is a financial requirement.

 

The accounting person must be able to count the numbers properly and report these to management and to the corresponding government offices. The marketing person must be able to advertise and promote the products to the public so that everyone knows about the product. The sales person must be able to sell the products to the public and collect money for the company. The operations person must ensure that all day to day operations are smooth and that there will be no stalls what so ever in the day to day tasks.

 

The info tech person must ensure that all computers are functioning efficiently in the business. The legal person must make sure that all the business requirements meet government regulations. The president has to make sure that all these functions are working in unison and that no one is negligent on his or her duties. If all of these functions are performed smoothly then there is a high chance that the business will succeed. Team building is a specialty of the management coach. He or she is able to elicit the best out of the managers or team members in a business. He or she is able to make good relationships happen in a team. He or she is able to be a sounding board for those who have problems in a company.
